Scranton Counseling Center is a full-continuum community-based, private nonprofit behavioral health provider in Northeast Pennsylvania, serving children, adolescents and adults with mental, behavioral and co-occurring substance use disorders.  Serving the residents of Lackawanna, Susquehanna, and surrounding counties without regard to ability to pay, we have been providing high quality, accessible services to those in need in our community for over seventy-five years

The Center also serves as the 24/7 mental health crisis service provider for Lackawanna and Susquehanna Counties and provides in person, telephone, as well as mobile individual and mobile team services to respond to mental health crises in the community, as well as in several hospital Emergency Departments in Lackawanna and Susquehanna Counties. Scranton Counseling Center delivers comprehensive behavioral health care that promotes wellness and empowers individuals to live their best lives.

The Center provides high quality behavioral health services through a number of specialized and evidence-based programs to over 9,000 members of our community each year. Through a highly diverse and experienced staff numbering more than 250, the Center focuses on the unique needs of our consumers in a supportive collaborative fashion. Our professional/medical staff includes, but is not limited to Board Certified Psychiatrists, a Child Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, Experienced Certified Physician Assistants, Licensed Psychologists, Social Workers, and Professional Counselors, Registered Nurses, Mental Health Professionals, Behavioral Health Workers, Certified Peer and Recovery Specialists, as well as customer service/support staff working collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of our consumers.
